Richmond Upon Thames Project
The Project Story
The Richmond Upon Thames project involved a complete transformation of the property, combining a new conservatory at the rear with a full replacement of windows and doors throughout the house. The homeowners wanted to extend their living space into the garden while modernising the glazing across the entire property.
The brief focused on improving light, comfort, and usability while keeping the overall appearance clean and in harmony with the existing house.
What We Had to Solve
This project required coordinating multiple glazing elements within one cohesive plan. The new conservatory needed to feel like a natural extension of the home rather than an add-on, while the rest of the house required updated windows and doors to match the new structure.
The property originally had older top-hung windows, which no longer met the client’s expectations for performance or appearance. Any replacements needed to improve ventilation and insulation while maintaining a neat, consistent look across all elevations.
How We Delivered
We designed and installed a conservatory in the rear garden, creating a bright and versatile space that connects the home to the outdoors. The structure was carefully integrated with the existing building, with glazing proportions chosen to maximise natural light throughout the day.
Across the rest of the house, we replaced all windows and doors, including a new UPVC door. The old top-hung windows were upgraded to modern UPVC top-hung vents over fixed windows, improving airflow while increasing thermal efficiency and reducing drafts. All frames were finished consistently to unify the appearance of the property.
The Final Result
The completed project delivers a brighter, more comfortable home with a strong connection to the garden. The new conservatory adds valuable living space, while the upgraded windows and doors improve insulation, ventilation, and overall appearance.
By combining the extension and full glazing replacement into one coordinated project, the homeowners now benefit from a cohesive, modern finish that enhances both everyday living and long-term performance.
