South London Project
The Project Story
This project involved a newly built four-storey apartment block in South London, where a range of glazing systems were required to suit different areas of the building. From the outset, the aim was to combine functionality, clean modern design, and consistency across multiple floors and elevations.
The development required carefully selected window and façade solutions for kitchens, living spaces, bedrooms, and balconies, all working together as part of a single, cohesive design.
What We Had to Solve
Because this was a new-build apartment project, the main challenge was coordinating different glazing types within one building. Each space had different requirements: kitchens needed simple, practical windows, while living rooms and bedrooms demanded larger glazed areas to maximise daylight and views.
In addition, balcony balustrades had to integrate seamlessly with the curtain walling system, maintaining safety standards without interrupting the clean lines of the façade. With multiple floors and repeated units, accuracy, consistency, and scheduling were critical throughout the project.
How We Delivered
We supplied and installed sash-style windows for the kitchens, offering a simple and reliable solution that suited the layout of those spaces. For the living rooms and bedrooms, curtain wall systems were installed to create expansive glazed areas, allowing natural light to flood the interiors and enhancing the modern character of the building.
Balustrades were fitted to the balconies, carefully aligned with the curtain walling to ensure a uniform appearance across all elevations. The project was delivered in phases over approximately two months, allowing each stage to be completed efficiently while maintaining quality control across the entire building.
The Final Result
The completed apartment block presents a clean, contemporary appearance with glazing that clearly responds to how each space is used. Kitchens benefit from practical, well-proportioned windows, while living rooms and bedrooms enjoy large glazed areas that bring in light and open views.
The integration of curtain walling and balcony balustrades gives the building a strong architectural identity, while the consistent installation across four floors ensures a polished and professional finish. The project stands as a well-executed example of multi-system glazing in a modern residential development.
