Woodend Project
The Project Story
This Woodend project involved two neighbouring homes, each with its own design direction. Both properties needed new patio doors and rooflights in different sizes, while one of the homes also required a full window replacement.
Although the houses were close to each other, the homeowners had very different preferences. One wanted a simple, modern patio door with clean lines and maximum glazing. The other preferred a heritage-style design to suit the character of the property.
What We Had to Solve
Managing two separate styles within one coordinated project was the main challenge. The modern home required slim frames and a minimal look, while the heritage property needed more traditional proportions and detailing.
Both properties required rooflights in different sizes, which meant careful structural planning and precise positioning. For the home undergoing full window replacement, we also needed to improve energy efficiency while keeping the exterior balanced and consistent.
How We Delivered
We worked closely with both homeowners to finalise the designs and ensure each installation suited the property.
The modern patio door was installed with slim-profile framing to maximise natural light and create a seamless connection to the garden. The heritage-style patio door was carefully detailed to preserve the character of the home while upgrading performance.
Rooflights were installed to suit each layout, bringing more daylight into key living areas. For the property requiring new windows, high-performance glazing was fitted to improve comfort and insulation.
The Final Result
Both Woodend homes were successfully transformed — each reflecting its owner’s style.
One now features a sleek, contemporary patio door and bright, open interior spaces. The other maintains its traditional charm with a heritage-inspired design, enhanced by improved light and energy performance.
Two homes, two distinct styles, delivered with precision and attention to detail.
